Transport and getting around The nearest airports to Costa Galera are Malaga and Gibraltar. Costa Galera is approx 55 minutes from Malaga airport and 30 minutes from Gibraltar airport.
Taxis are easily available from both airports.
An airport pick up and drop off service is also available and can be arranged for an additional fee.
Car hire is available at both airports from a number of reputable car hire companies and is recommended but not essential.
Taxis can be arranged at the country club reception during your stay.
Beaches The local Beach is located within 5 minutes walk. There are many other beautiful beaches in Estepona and La Duquesa, which are only a 5 minute drive away. Sotogrande, Puerto Banus and Marbella also have excellent beaches with lively atmospheres and are only 15 - 20 minutes away by car.
Places to visit There are several attractions close by offering something for all of the family. Selwo Safari Park in Estepona offers a great day out for all of the family, as does the Zoo in Fuengirola. There are two aqua parks close by, one in Mijas Costa and one in Torremolinos. A drive along the coast towards Malaga will take you to the Tivoli world theme park with its awe inspiring mountain cable car lift providing visitors with an excellent view of the coast.
Another great day out is a visit to Gibraltar (passports needed), where you can take a tour of 'The Rock' and have close contact with the Apes. For the more adventurous, you can take a day trip to Morocco on the fast ferry from Algercias. There are many beautiful villages, towns and cities located nearby including Casares, Ronda, Mijas, Seville and Granada to name but a few.
There are fantastic mountain ranges surrounding the coast and the closest is known as Sierra Bermeja, which is a national park and great for walks.
Tarifa, the wind surfing capital of Europe is also a short drive away with its fantastic beaches and water sports for the more active.
For those who like the finer things in life you may want to visit Laguna Village, an exclusive beach club with a fusion of exquisite designer shops, a variety of restaurants situated first line beach and surrounded by lagoons with waterfalls and tropical gardens with palm trees. Laguna Village is approximately 5 minutes away and offers visitors an excellent opportunity to relax and enjoy the amazing views of Gibraltar whilst surrounded in luxury.

The closest to the apartment are Estepona and Duquesa, which are both within a 5 minute drive and are reasonably priced. The famous Valderama course which hosted the 1997 Ryder Cup, and the American Express Match Play Championships is only 15 minutes away, as is San Roque, Marbella Club, Atalaya, El Paraiso, Alcaidesa, Flamingos Golf and Sotogrande. A Handicap Certificate is required by most Golf Clubs.
At Costa Galera there is a Golf Academy and driving range and golf clubs are available for hire from the on-site pro shop within the country club itself. Tuition is available for driving and putting, from the 1997 PGA tour coach.
